Problem

The Challenge

Couples waste time on daily decisions — food, errands, health tracking. No single app combines shared memory, AI assistance, and gamification for relationships.

Research

Research & Insights

ADHD-informed design research, competitive analysis of food and couple apps (SomeYum, Food Match, Grocery Tracker Pro), couple behavior pattern analysis. None combined all needs into one coherent product.

Process

Design Process

Information architecture with 5-tab structure (Home, Food, Mira chat, Log, Profile). Designed gamification system inspired by Duolingo — streaks, daily tasks, couple score. Built food engine with swipe-match-log-rate-learn loop. Designed health correlation system and AI chat interface.

Solution

The Solution

Key screens include onboarding flow, food swipe matching, daily dashboard, health check-in, couple score radar, receipt scanning, and marketing landing page. ADHD-friendly interactions — 1-2 taps max with streak motivation.

Outcome

Results & Impact

Submitted to Replit Buildathon. Product demonstrates full-stack product thinking from research to shipped prototype. Validates AI-native product design with medical background informing health features.

Reflection

What I Learned

Building Mira confirmed that the intersection of medical knowledge, AI, and UX creates genuinely differentiated products. The ADHD-friendly design philosophy could apply to many more product contexts.

Overview

Mira is a couples and family AI brain designed to reduce daily decision fatigue. It combines food matching, shared health tracking, and AI-powered suggestions into one coherent product experience.

The Problem

Couples face constant micro-decisions daily — what to eat, what to buy, when to exercise. Existing apps solve fragments of this. No product combined shared memory, AI assistance, and gamification into a relationship-centered experience.

Key Design Decisions

ADHD-Friendly Interaction Model

Every core action completes in 1-2 taps. Streak motivation borrowed from Duolingo keeps engagement without overwhelming.

Medical-Informed Health Tracking

My medical background directly informed the health correlation system — connecting food logs to mood and energy patterns with clinically meaningful structure.

AI-Native Architecture

Mira's chat interface parses natural language into structured family data. The AI doesn't just respond — it learns and suggests based on accumulated patterns.
